I have an '02 Quad Cab Ram and I have recently discovered some strange happenings with my A/C and Heater.
The A/C works and blows pretty cold but ONLY when I am driving. If I am idle and stopped the A/C slowly gets warmer and warmer, then I hear a hissing noise, like the sound of pressure being released, and the air is very humid and warm. Even if I hold down the throttle while at idle, the a/c still doesn't cool down until I start moving again.
Now that the colder months are coming I've had to begin using my heater and I have noticed that the two driver's side vents do not blow hot air at all. However, the passenger side vents blow fairly warm air but not like they used to.
At first I was thinking that I might have a coolant leak but now that my heat isn't working correctly, I'm thinking the problem may be a bit more complex.
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
