I have been getting white flakes coming out of my dash air ducts when using the Defrost.
I've thought it could be due to the previous owner being a smoker (not sure if they were just guessing). But also thought maybe the filter for that was breaking down.
Has anyone else experienced this before???
If so where is there a filter to change for the Defrost or A/C in the vehicle
There isn't much but just wondering what it could be???
:4-dontknow:??????????????? never heard of that before. How big are the flakes. Had something like that from my hot water tank(house) break down deposits in plastic tubing.Never had this happen to me in a viehicle. Best of luck. Hopefully someone has here on the site.
i know my 08 tacoma had a filter for the a/c/heater behind the glove box not sure if the rams do though also the van has one in the same place and its a chevy.
maybe a little but it seems like a smoke smell, from previous smoker air freshener took care of that now. I'll keep you guys updated it did it for the first week a lot
after that not as much now its not even noticeable
Every time I turned on the defrosters in my '77 LeBaron , I got rice out of the vents . I know how that got there . Car was used for my honeymoon (first marriage) .
I once worked on a older ford ambulance that a/c vents were spitting out small black particles. The company mechanics said that it was coming from the a/c motor. But your truck is not that old. Weird.
