Hello everyone!
I've searched and found similar complaints.
So what gives on my 2002? Why is there hot air on the
passenger side and cold on mine? (dash vents)

As long as the wife is happy, I wouldn't worry about it... But, seriously, sounds like you might have some blockage in your vents. Have you had a rodent problem at all? They like to get in where it's nice and warm and build their nests... Just a thought.
NOOOOOOOO. ohhh its like telling someone they have cancer. i have researched a/c heater problems when my recirc door went out. what you have is a blend door issue.
the blend door is controlled by the little blue/red knob or slider if you have dual zone, which if you do that means you have two blend doors which is worse...... anyway getting to the point the fix involves taking the entire dash out(almost impossible RAM you dodge!!) then you have to take out the a/c heater after draining it and disassemble the plenum then put in new blend door(s).
I hope i am wrong and i hope you don't have to experience what i have read about..... good luck on this man, really.
Did you test the Heater/AC controls on the dash?? I'd look at the dual zone control first and make sure you're getting power out the driver's side control. I work in a scrap yard and that's the second thing we sell...first is the cup holder.
Hey man check out my thread maybe we can help one another. I have same problem with my 02, I posted in the newbies section like a tool. I thought it was the blend doors too but its turning out not to be ne ways hit it up...
After I found out it wasnt the blend door, thermostat, fluid, I figured it was the heater core. I took it to a mechanic and had them flush it, It solved the problem and cost $43.00. I'd suggest trying this first before you do the rest.
Is it possible for the heater core to be partially plugged? I have checked the mode I door and the 2 blend doors; they all appear to be solid and functioning properly. However, I still have warm air on the passenger side and cold air on the drivers side.
yes, that could be possible, but the hot/cold air split is not usually caused by that...............at least not in my experience. although if all the doors seem to be working fine there is not much left to the system.
I believe I'll try the radiator flush tomorrow. See if that corrects the problem. While I'm at it I may as well replace all the hoses. They're already 9 years old. Can anyone recommend a flush product?
 Okay; I flushed the the entire system. I disconnected both heater hoses and flushed both directions. I then poured simple green into the heater core and let set overnight. Then flushed again both directions. I then added coolant system conditioner and antifreeze. :wow: Guess what; it's working.
Warm air on both sides of the cab. This is a great forum, alot of good information posted. Thanks again guys. :smiley_thumbs_up:
