So go out and start the truck this morning, (-9 degrees C). Ten minutes later the frost is gone and I head off to work. Normally the temp. guage slowly raises to just below half over the course of this 20 km trip, however today it did not move atall......I had good heat in the cab. I checked under the hood when I got to work and nothing was leaking, etc. Truck is a 2007 Ram QC 4x4, 90,000km on it. Could this be the thermostat stuck open? Any help would be appreciated. No check engine light, and seemed to run good.
So I replaced the thermostat and things seemed to be good.....Went to work this morning and the same thing happened again, normal,(LOTS), or heat in the cab but the dash temp guage reading nothing. After about 1/2 hr at work started the truck up and the temp guage was reading fine????? This only seems to happen when its cold out? So where is the temp sensor located? I am wondering if the electrical conection could be loose? Any help would be appreciated.
BTW Merry Chrismas all.
Cheers!
