Alrighty, so here's the deal. Me and some buddies went backroading and mudding last night. One of my buddies stopped in the middle of the mud road right in front of me with no warning, so I slammed on my brakes and slid off into the very wet part of the road and got stuck. Well, we got it unstuck and left. Well, when we got on the highway, my truck was vibrating/shaking when going 65, I figured it was all the mud. Well, today I went to wash my truck, got ALL the mud off of my rotors and got it all off from everything around the wheels and cleaned it up fairly good. Well now today from 35-45 MPH it is vibrating/shaking about the same as it did last night going 65, so when I sped up to 55, it was so bad I slowed back down because it makes the entire truck shake WAY too much.

What could this be? Did I mess something up on the truck from getting stuck in the mud? I thought cleaning it would help, but it didn't. Any idea's what's wrong?

hmm might have lost a wheel weight while spinning in the mud ?? maybe out of balance now

+1 I have had this happen to me and a buddy out muddin, drove us batty trying to find what the problem was as we were both mechanics at the time and literally over thought the problem. Turned out to me something pretty simple.

It won't take much mud on the wheel to throw it out of balance. Like said above something simple as a missing wheel weight can cause shakes. I'd make sure you get that mud off the wheels and get them balanced. Then maybe start looking for bent steering components.
