Well I'll hold off then! I've been shopping rims (even though not buying till spring) was just wanting to try the black look. Saw a cherry red ram today with black and chrome rims and almost shorted out the power seats from drool! These mods just take on a life of their own after the smallest amount of inspiration!

I don't know..... I does have a green hue to it, so I would be reluctant to use it on large items like rims. I have re-done my front and back emblems with more coats, and although it's better, there is still a green hue under certain lighting conditions.

It I can find a large piece (that's not currently attached to my truck) to experiment on, I will. I'm hoping to find a chrome bumper or similar for free.

Brad, I'm thinking real hard about black chroming my rims as well as the side steps. What are your thoughts on using the black chrome stuff from Dupli-color?

LOL....thanks for the reps! There is a bit of a story behind the acquisition of information, and it starts at volume Z.....as it Ram ForumZ. Too many ideas, and not enough info on the 'wrong way' or on the 'disasters', so I've been victim to a few, and collected the info along the way. I am not too proud to post about my failures/negative experiences, as they usually bring a laugh or 2, and offer some great insight for others. Side benefit of doing most things 3-4 times, you (whether or not intended) end up learning something about it.
