The light quality is amazing! When I hit my high beams, you can only tell they're on because they aim higher, but they are not brighter than the 55W HIDs! Nobody has flashed me yet so I think I have them adjusted well and they are truely tripple the light output as they say. I got the 5000K and would describe the color as very white with a slight blue tint. They said 5000K would be the same color as factory but that isn't true. I am happy with the color though. The guy I talked to at RS said that 5000K give the most light output; thats why I went with them.
Its a killer kit and comes in a fancy aluminum case and the build quality is on par with factory.
It wasn't difficult but to do it right it took some time. I wanted to route all the wires cleanly and did not want to have to cut and extend anything.
You Do have to cut holes in the dust covers on the back of the headlight housing. That was actually easier than I thought. I didn't have the right size hole saw so I used a smaller hole and then used a Dremel to get the hole perfect. There are some pictures of this on the site somewhere. Other than that, its a simple plug n play hook up.
I took the grill off and both headlight out for easy access and wire routing. So I mounted the balasts inside the fender near the top - very well protected.
