OK. I went to the K&N site and looked at the instructions for your CAI install. It looks like your tube mounting bracket either installs to the cylinder head (where the negative battery cable attaches to) or the intake manifold (where the resonator attaches to.) It says if you have the air injector valve, connect the bracket to the intake manifold, if you don't ,connect it to the cylinder head. It seems like the air injector valve would be in the way if you were to try and bolt it to the cylinder head, so it should be self-explanitory. Hope this helps.

I see that you have a 2004 Ram, mine is a 2010. I'm thinking that the installation is different for our engines. The only brackets that I used on my install were the two that hold the heat shield to the fender well. My instructions didn't say anything about air injection value. Sorry I couldn't help you on this.

I see you have a K&N CAI. I just got one for my truck and in the instructions is says to use the tube mounting bracket and saddle. My question is it says to use one type of bracket if you have a air injection value and use the other bracket if you don't. How do I know if I have an air injection value?
