    check your oil level. Had this same problem when I first bought my truck. Turns out the dealership didn't put enough oil in it. I takes like 7 quarts or something..i think they only put 5 in or something like that.

    try there. your oil pressure gauge is operating normally.

    you can also try posting this question in a sub-forum, there all the members can see it and not just me

    I bought this truck about a month and a half ago. For the past week I keep getting a check engine light. When I run the scanner it gives me the code PO524 (engine oil pressure to low) it resets itself in about 2 days then comes on again. also when I come to a light my oil pressure drops a bit then goes up when I accelerate again. about the same time as all this started I began hearing a little knocking from the engine. I read thru some threads and from what I saw it said many people with a hemi have the same related engine knocking and that it is just something these trucks do. I have no clue what type of oil the previous owner was using but I'm thinking about using royal purple 5w-30 with a mobil 1 oil filter to see if this helps out with the check engine light? What are your thoughts on this?
