I went back and forth between level kit and 4" lift for a few weeks. I LOVE the way they look with the 4" lift and 35s. But I feel like for the money, I'll be just as satisfied with the level. I'd like to see those pics if you don't mind. firstname.lastname@example.org
I look forward to seeing the pics, I think you'll enjoy it. I bet it'll look killer, I've been thinking of trading to a sport and putting on a 4 inch with 35's, but I like how well this setup is working I'm afraid I'll regret it.
BTW, I have some pics on file of a black sport that did a level with 285/65/20's if your interested in seeing that setup I can email them to you.
Thanks for the response man. Exactly what I was hoping to hear. I've ordered the bilstein's (all 4) and a 1" coil spacer for the rear already. Now I just need a truck to put em on. While I'm not buying the truck b/c it gets great mileage, I'd still like to keep it respectable. I'm sure you can relate. Sounds like your setup is exactly what I need. Preciate it!!
My MDS kicks in just fine. Maybe not as much as it did stock but it kicks in around town and highway. So my experience with this setup is it is a good way to go if you want to make your truck look more aggressive without looking like a "lifted" truck. It drives different than stock but is still very good, I like it. People weren't doing Bilsteins much when I leveled mine but I would go that route if I did it again.
Mileage wise, between the lift (2.5 front 1.5 rear) and tires I lost 2-3 all around. I drop lower than before around town, between 12-14 town now, and between 15-18 highway. It depends so much on wind and where I drive, when it points up hill it drinks the gas and that's where you see 15 on the highway. Any other questions just let me know.
Love the look of your truck man. I ordered a 2012 Sport Crew Cab a couple of weeks ago and can't wait for it to get here. I'm wanting to run the same BFG's that you've got with some bilstein 5100s. I was hoping you could tell me what kind of mileage you're getting. I've read that some people with that tire have a problem with their MDS not activating. I'd like to keep reasonable mileage. Thanks, Justin
