Falken is over-rated. I think Vredestein's new Ultrac tire looks pretty cool but I've never heard anything of them so far, and boy are they ever pricey! I think the Goodyear GTs are good enough for now, seem like a great tire for a great price.
Hope you had fun during the Olympics. Must've been a blast, wish I was there to watch the showdown with the Men's Hockey Gold. Robson must've been packed. Love all the hotties walking around Stanley Park in the summer. Hottest women in Canada are in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
Ya give em a try!! i have heard many bad things about falken tires too but i stick to trucks, and truck tires and loud doesn't bother me!! HAHA ya i don't drive downtown much or in any of those areas, can't stand the idiot drivers out there!!!
I haven't used Goodyears in a while, the last Goodyears I had were the Wrangler GS-A on my old '97 Silverado Z71. They were great for going up northern Manitoba or north eastern Ontario's logging roads. Beefy treads and very capable in rough terrain but loud as hell when you're up to speed on the highway. I'm probably going to switch up to the Goodyear Eagle GTs on both my Audis when the time comes. I currently have Continental and Pirelli on my A4 and Falken on my A6 and I'm not impressed with any of those brands. Thanks for the info and drive safe. Watch out in Richmond, them drivers is crazy!
Hey, ya i do work there!
As for the eagle GT's there a great tire, heard great things about them in all weather, even heard they can handle some snow well too! I would once they wear out, see how you like them, i remember when canadian tire had them on sale, we had to match it haha! As for the A/T tires ya i loved the BFG when i had them on my blazer, KM2 on my Ram and there doing great!! I havent had personal experience with the michelin but it seems my dad, and people around his age all tend to choose the michelins, Id prefer something that has a beefier look to it tho, I like the look of the silent armours the good year also offeres, heard many great things about those to for wet, snow, dry traction and they are quiet too!!!
You work at Fountain Tire, eh? What do you think of the Goodyear Eagle GTs? Canadian Tire had them on sale a while back, I was going to throw them on my '06 Audi A4 Avant 2.0T but I'm going to wait a bit until the Pirelli P7000s wear out a bit more. I currently have 245/45ZR17s and I know the new Eagle GTs come in that size. Just wanted to know what you've heard about these tires. By the way, I've always been a fan of Michelin tires as I've always used them on my crotch rockets but the Michelin LTX truck tires are crap compared to the BFG All Terrain T/As in regards to mud, snow, slush and gravel.
