I also recommend searching through the 2013 subforum here and the 2014 subforum right here to see what members are saying.

As the air suspension are also fairly new with 2013 being the first year I believe, I would suggest you head over to the 4th gen suspension section right here , and spend some time searching around for people discussing air suspension. You could also make your own thread regarding air suspension and can ask several questions that hopefully members with air suspension can chime in and offer the advice and experience with the system. So far I know the only dis advantage is that you can't lift it.. But I doubt that is a worry to you.

Hey glad to hear from you . I can honestly say that all trucks have made huge leaps in improvements within the last ten years. Heck, my 08 seems like ancient technology compared to new trucks. On the top of air suspension, i don't know too much about it, but have never heard any complaints. Would be great for ride quality, towing, and loading up the bed with the auto leveling. If you are planning on racing, just curious what has you interested in the air suspension over an all around coil set up?

Thank you for your reply to my post, very helpful. And the 99 silverado is a very nice truck, only issue I have ever had with it in 8 years I've owned it is the U joint going bad. But it's time to move on and look into something new and (hopefully) better.
My biggest question right now is the durability and functionality of the air suspension. Especially since I plan on doing some racing with it. (Want to get a sport when money and the wife allows it) And then my other big decision to make is what bed size.
Been lurking around the forums for a couple months now and reading up on everything I find.
