    Hey Cajun,
Thanks for the message. I did some checking and found one of my steel vacuum connector lines was clogged. I replaced it, along with some new rubber connectors. When I engaged the 4WD, the light now comes on, and the front hubs turn, but I'm not sure it's totally corrected. It looks like the front hubs are not fully engaged, and I can actually hold them by hand to keep them from turning. I'm wondering if I might have to replace the vacuum actuator on the front axle. I posted this in the problems section, and waiting to get a response. Thanks!

Hey Dave! Had a chance to check those vacuum lines on the front yet? As far as the 4WD issue, yes, you should have a limited slip differential. You could opt for a locker, and there are some threads on here where that is discussed, but could be pricey. My truck is not 4X4 , but my Jeep is, also with a limited slip, only on that one, I don't have the modern goodies like ESP or traction control, so wonder if that might not be part of your problem? But no, with the tires on my Jeep, I don't have any problems with the 4WD. Let me know what you find out! Talk to you soon!

Thanks again for the welcome! Currently, I can't get my front axles to engage, and in reading some of the forum posts, it may be that my vacuum lines to the front axle solenoid may be the problem. I am going to check them today to see if that's it.
I also noticed that when I was in the snow, one of my rear wheels was not spinning. Not sure if that is connected to the 4WD problem, but I assume the rear axle should be limited slip. Have you experienced any of these problems? Thanks.

    Dave
