    I don't think it would, but check with your local parts guy regarding the controller. If it's still blinking, then there's still something wrong with it. Take it to your local parts store and have them read the code. It may be due to the controller coming from a 5.7, but that's just a guess.

    I disconnected the battery and turned key and it's still blinking. I forgot to tell you I had to replace abs controller and electrically connection because it melted. Would it matter if the abs controller came from a truck that had a 5.7l going to a 4.7l.

    Disconnect your battery for about 15 minutes. Before you reconnect it, turn the ignition on to discharge any possible static. This will reset the computer. I think what happened was the computer was used to seeing a certain RPM of the wheels at set speeds. When it saw something different, it didn't know what to do except throw a code. Once you reset the computer, you shouldn't have any more issues.

    hello, rodger i have a question about abs on my 2004 dodge ram 1500 i have code 82 something about ring tone gear now the sticker on the truck say the stock tire size is 245/70r17 and i have 265/70r17 do i have to reprogram or flash the abs module for the abs light to go out?
