Well darn, I was hoping for a better result for you. Do you have a trustworthy independent mechanic in your area who might could help you diagnose it and then take that info to the dealer? Sounds like they can't find the source of the noise, but, if it were me, I'd keep on them until it's found and fixed to your satisfaction.
Took my truck in, still no answers. Pissed at dodge right now. But still love the truck. Desperately looking for the source of this chattering noise coming from the front. It's not a metallic noise, more like rubber.
Sorry to hear about your problem and I have to agree with you, this is not normal and they should check into it for you. Only real problem I've had with dealerships is them not being able to replicate the problem so the light bulb goes on lol and they can pinpoint the problem. Give them a shot at it and see what they say, that's what warranties are for. Make sure you get them to check into any open/active recalls or TSB's that they can address and if you don't like what they say, if you have another dealership nearby, nothing wrong with getting another opinion. Good luck and sure hope they get it fixed for you!
I have a rattling/rubbing noise coming from the front end of my truck when I am going over bumps. Also I get a vibration in the steering wheel around 60km. It's going into the shop today (sad, only 300km) I have read on other posts on different sites about front end noise being caused by loose motor mounts in the new 1500's and something about the ECO causing some sort of harmonic vibrations. I just wanted to bounce this off someone, cause I never have trusted dealerships. I don't want to hear from them that this is normal. No brand new truck should make a noise that is irritating when you drive it.
Thanks for your time.
