Hey Cajun, Watup! U-all will appreciate this, got a e-mail back from Dodge in answer to my question about the electric fan. Instead of them having a Gearhead answer me they had a service rep do it. They sent me a warning about losing my warranty if I make any mod's. That was zackly why I asked them in the first place. Go figure.
Doing fine, but trying to find a job to support my wish list. I'm retired like 3 times and that still isn't enough. Been helping my son install Kaba Locks for the Army up at Schofield Army Base the past couple weeks. I also do Auto detailing on the side using the DWG products. NO WAX just polymers, my truck always looks great because of it and NO WATA SPOTS.
Watup? Aloha! Flex-a-Lite finally got back to me and says #183 should fit my truck. #183 is for the 03-08 Hemi rams. I have to measure everything now and see if they are correct. At $ 359.00, I'm going to have to put this one on my wish list though. That is the lowest price I've found so far and because Im in Hawaii always have to allow for shipping.
Yes, and it was what I expected, "Not Available". I think I'm going to have to do some measuring and see if an ealier dodge ram that had electric fan/s will fit. I'm thinking v-10may be the one that had an electric Primary/s. I found plenty of A/C fans and plenty of Universal's but none listed as Dodge specific that would fit. I'm like a Bull Dog tho when it comes to something I want to do. Stay tuned.
Hey there 808 KUMA. That's a good question. Did you ever get any info back from Oregon Mopar as to whether an electric fan could be used in place of the clutch fan in this application and what the availability would be?
Maybe you can help me? I have come to a point where I'm really exasperated by some of the answers I get from well meaning members both hear and at other sites. Even the the Dodge Parts guys are stumped. All I want is to install an electric fan in place of my clutch fan. I also want to stay MOPAR if possible. The fan shroud seems to have a place for an electric fan to attach to it. I know my way around an engine compartment or two so you can talk to me in tech. terms if you want.
