Thanks for the feedback man and yes, he did go through insurance. Bad thing is, this is also his work truck, he is leased on through the trucking company I work for so our company went through their insurance for the repairs so you're right, definitely a hassle with a lot of down time for him. I haven't talked to him in a couple days but I really appreciate the insight and I'll let you know if he found anything out, too!

This is a tough one. Did your friend go through insurance? If so, I would call the insurance company and they should be able to get the issue fixed as part of the original repair. If your friend paid for the repair themselves, this could be a tough one. Disconnecting the battery does not really work nowadays. I would suspect a broken wire somewhere being the truck has been in an accident. \either that or the module has an internal failure. Either way, I think it is going to need to go to a qualified tech, whether it be at a dealership or an independent. I would call around and see what your dealer says and what an independent says. It is too bad that you are not near me. I would have my "Master" electrical tech look at it and I am sure that he would find the problem pretty quickly. Good luck with this and please let me know how it turns out.
