I rescued a broke down triple (rear) axle, 10 yard dump truck today. He was broke down on the freeway off ramp. I hooked up to him and locked it into 4x4 Low. Pulled him out of the middle of the way, around the corner, down a block and off the road in a gravel turn around. DODGE Trumps Dump Truck!

Thank you all for the advice. I have some great news. I put the Temperature Sensor in yesterday and was going to do the tests on the electrical, to figure out if my problem was the ECU or the Alternator. I did the OBC check again and it only showed a code of 12 and then 55. 12 being the battery was reset within 50 starts ago and the 55 meaning all clear. Before, I had 2 more codes; one was for running cold and the other was for overcharging the system. Both are clear. So, now I wait for the 50 starts to go away and it should be just a 55 code. All Clear!

Wow, that must have been a heck of a search for your computer but glad you found one that at least if you don't need it, you'll have it! Good luck and be sure to keep us posted! :)

I was able to find one. I found 1 through a guy I met on eBay. He sells auto parts world wide. He did me a big favor, searched the entire US and only found 1. It is the exact one I need for my truck. Only $100 and he will call me with the number when he gets home. I found I may not need it but, I am going to buy it for 3 reasons, #1, he worked really hard to find it and never has this much trouble. #2, he said it is the only one found in the US and I totally believe that. #3, I may need it at some time so, if I grab it now, I hopefully will not be stuck on the side of the road paying 300 times the price because of an emergency.

My problem as it boils down: They only made the Magnum V10 with the stick and CA emissions for 1 year. So the module I have, is one of the only few out there in the whole world it seems. I have been all over looking. On the net, the guy wants over $600 bucks but, still not sure it is even the right one. The first one I ordered, they called back and canceled it. Said they did not have one for me and gave me back my cash.

I have a 1996 Dodge Ram, V10 (8L) with a 5 speed stick shift transmission. It is Dually, it has California emissions, It is an SLT, 3500, 4X4. The Voltage Regulator is in the ECM and is over charging the battery. The water temperature sensor may be out as well, the computer shows the engine is running a little cold. I ordered a new sensor and will try to install that first but, I still need to replace the ECM unless I can figure out an external voltage regulator. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Wow, this is from me, you guys are great. You are right on top of it. I put pictures up and posted all of my truck info. I ordered a performance chip (computer) and I just ordered a replacement computer. I went to the wrecking yard and got a bunch of parts for the truck and got a chance to see what type of damage these truck have had. Most look like 4 wheeling accidents. Any ways, thank you for checking on me.
