I never bothered to get one. The cost vs benefit didn't equal out. If I had disposable income I probably would have bought one just because.

sounds like a good deal. i would just verify with chris at optimum that they are an approved installer before you shell out the cash.

that pretty much the new going rate. optimum is trying to standardize the market to prevent undercutting and installers using the 2.0 version instead of the pro version.

im not sure who they went to for training in California, but optimum is from tennesse. if you have any doubts about them, check out the optimum forum...ill look at their site, but i didnnt need any official training to be an authorized installer. i just basically needed to be insured, have a quality reputation, and meet the sale s quota! lol. i've got no probs answering any questions. also, if you are ever in the need for any detailing supplies, let em know. i run a store in Ontario and can give you the details and a 10% discount off advertised prices.

ALSO, if you weren't getting the pro version, and just a detailer installing opti coat 2.0, the .0 product has been discontinued and replaced with a product called gloss coat. there are some rumblings that it isnt as durable as the 2.0 version, but it is supposed to protect the people who were getting duped by installers claiming they were using the pro product when it was really 2.0.

another great option is cquartz finest if you are getting a pro installation, or cquartz uk if you want to tackle the job yourself. its really not that hard to do if you have some of the right tools and motivation!

hey no problem about the message! ive never heard of house of auto details, but i am in Ontario. i do recommend opti coat as i think it is a great coating if oyu are getting a proper application. id do some research on the installer. id also make sure they are an authorized installer. optimum is going through some changes to their pro version installers. i beleive optimum still has a listing of all authorized installers.
