    Silverbighorn,

Sure hope it works out OK for you. I too like my Ram but after dealing with my minor paint problem I don't think that I'll buy another. I thought that I had removed all of the dust nibs the first time around. Yesterday I found 28 more on the sides of the truck. They are all small and will level easily. I'll get at leveling them next week. It will probably take me about six hours to level the nibs and then polish out the wetsand marks. I don't want to go through this again. Shouldn't have to. But like I said my problem is minor compared to yours. Hang in there.

All emblems were replaced the first time. I had the shop show them to me before installatioon to make sure. I am with you on the build up of too much paint. I told the dealership management that this time i would not monitor the paint shop progress, and that when the truck is finished we would go over it together with a fine tooth comb. I am more worried about the trim and other pieces that have now been removed and re-installed three times. Clips and plastic screws don't last through too many applications. I think I can sell the truck if I really want too, but the bad/good thing is I really like the ride and drive characteristics. So maybe it will work out. If not, I have already told them this is the last chance for them to fix it - I have been very patient. On another note, they put me in a 2008 ram 1500 4x4 quad cab. Big upgrades from 08-12. It is totally different inside and out, it does run good though. Heck, maybe I can swing a set of ballistic jester rims...

not so good...just got the truck back. it has overall a good even coat of silver metallic, much better than factory. problem is the painter tried to cover some things up, as well as scratched the tailgate after painting it, and had the balls to cover it with touch up paint. also, plastic clad wheels now have some type of over spray on all four...working on buyback now. on a positive note, they put a free leather interior in the truck which came out nice. im just done with it. i drove a smoked out 12 ram from enterprise for a month, now im just tired of being nice.
