We have a 2011 200 Touring, the brakes starting squealing so I changed just the front pads, didn't do the rotors (was being cheap this time). Then when we drive about 10 or 15 miles and the breaks get warmed up and you go to stop, it's like a growl/grinding noise. So I bought new rotors, pads and hardware kit and changed them all again. Worked fine for about a day then the growl/grinding came back. Took the brakes back apart cleaned EVERYTHING and put lube on everything again. Noise was still there.
I finally changed the wheel bearing hub but that didn't work either, I moved to the back brakes, changed the pads and rotors there also, adjusted the emergency brake, but the noise remains. It's starting to piss me off because I can't find what is making the grinding sound. It's almost like the caliper isn't pressing hard enough to squeeze the brakes together so they won't grind. I have also bled the brake system twice now. The sound went away for a day after doing that as well.
