Hemi N Haw,
Yep, I agree about the paint quality on the 2012 Rams. Others seem to have had better luck on there truck than I had on mine. If you are lucky, a PDR tech can take out the dent on your door. If it is a stamping flaw, he won't be able to fix it. This is a common problem with lots of vehicles.
I have a small flaw in the paint on the hood..looks like a dent but it is in the paint. I had 46 flecks of dust/lint ("nibs") in my white Ram. I very carefully leveled/removed all of them with 2000 grit sandpaper. It was a very "touchy" job and took about a day to "get-r-done". I'd not recommend that you do this unless you pretty much know what you are doing. If the paint on my truck goes bad later I'll deal with it then...maybe just trade for a Toyota.
This is my third Ram Hemi and it has the worse paint of the bunch. Sort of sucks. I'll probably not be buying a fourth Ram, but I'll drive the heck out of the one I have now.
