It's all good! Man the weather around here has been getting better and it's open season, although I don't hunt for bears. I haven't fired a single shot this year, but I cleaned out the Winchester a couple times already. It'll take me some time to get back into it but it'll be a lot of fun. I bet the composite bow would be a hell of a rush, but at my age and with my weak-ass body I don't think I'd be able to hack it. :)

i love a good elk dinner i don't do anything to season it deer ya i really dont care for the gamey taste out of a deer usually i make all my deer into burger than it really goes a long way i can you can make anything you want to out of burger anyway. trapping is just plain fun a little spendy sometimes but most of my traps i made myself so i saved some money there, and bowhunting is just straight up an adrenaline rush. i really dont hunt for the trophy but i do hunt for mature animals i dont look at the rack its all body size then a glance at the rack and then a gun shot or the sound of a arrow flying one of the two. whats illegal out of the list i said up there? this last year was the first open season for wolves down here what a rush that was especially when your elk hunting and you give the cow call a toot and wolves howl and all you got is a bow let me tell ya that will get your heat pumping a little bit.
oh ya hey thanks for the acceptance

S**t! Time for me to cash in on my Dual Citizenship. I think there are two types of hunters out there, those who hunt and use their game for a trophy and those who hunt and use their game for dinner. I'm the dinner type. :) I love "gamey" meat. A bit strong in the flavour and scent for some, but definitely far more flavourful than chicken. I've never gone bow hunting and I've never gone trapping, although it's pretty common up in Northern Canada. Some of the stuff you mentioned is off limits for us Canadians to hunt, but I would love to try some day before I die! :)

What do you hunt down there in Montana? I haven't gone hunting in so bloody long with the government's new stupid ass firearms legislation. Not that great of a shot with the rifle, but at least I'm pretty damn good with the 12 gauge. :)
