I have a 1996 Laramie 1500 that I tow a 19' travel trailer with, thanks to the wealth of info and advice on this site it is setup to tow much better altready (Members helped me thru issues with the catalitic converter, transmission kick down cable, fuel injection ect)
My next project is to raise the rear ride hieght, it has always been low in the back so it looks over loaded when I have the trailer attached.
The build sheet shows it to be an 8000 pound capacity truck and it pulls the 4000 pound empty trailer OK its just really a low rider
What would be the best solution to get the rear ride hieght up with out making the ride to harsh ?
Some of the things I have considered are:
- Spring set from a 2500
- Spring helpers I have seen advertised
- Air Shocks
What has worked for you ?
Thanks
