    I assumed you had a detailing business, but it looks like you sell the products, sorry for the confusion. My friend is in Hamilton. Do you recommend a detailing shop that does opti-coat there?

    I have a friend who is looking to have opti coat done on his car, and I was wondering if you still do this. If so, where is your business located?

    Thanks

    That is great to hear. I think I am going to get it done next week. They are giving me a quote for the opti-coat, and adding in 8 tires(to include my winter rims) and getting them to do the Krown rust proofing. Right now it totals $1300, but I believe they are going to offer a discount if I do all of it. Thanks for you input on all of this. I really do appreciate it.

    Thanks

    Thanks for all of your advise. I went and talked to them yesterday, and they were telling me about the warranty part of it which is through somewhere in Quebec. They said it is forms that have to be filled out and sent away. They seem to be legit, but they admitted that they are new to it, and haven't done to many vehicles yet. They do use the pro version, not the 2.0. I am considering getting it done.

    Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I am a new Ram owner, and honestly have never owned a vehicle worth spending the money on to protect. I do like what I have read about Opti-coat. I don't mind spending the money if it is going to be a real asset. I have seen your name come up numerous times when it comes to detailing, so I wanted to talk to someone with knowledge. Thanks again for taking the time. I talked to the people who would do the application, and they claim to have gone to California to do detailing training, and the steps they plan to take seem rather intense. I believe it will take 6-8 hours, and they keep the truck for 24 hours to dry. If you are ever curious, this is their website. http://www.houseofautodetails.ca/
    I do love this forum, great info. Thanks again!

    I hope you don't mind me sending a message, but I see your name come up whenever anyone talks about detailing their truck. I am considering going with the opti-coat, and getting it done professionally. I live in Halifax, and the place I am looking at is called "house of auto details", and it is in Bedford Nova Scotia. I was just wondering if you had heard anything about them, and if you recommend the opti-coat.

    Hey Primo, I had a question about some paint care if you have a spare moment and would care to share. A while back you suggested the duragloss products for my truck which I love, but I might have access to a machine polisher and after reading your guide a few times and comparing products it seems the the 105 is a polish so if I used the Menzerna SF4500 like you suggest can I still apply the mixture of duragloss as a top coat?

    Howdy there I am doing my first oil change and have the K&N 2010 oil filter, and noticed that you had them as well. Just want to know if they fit with no problems before I drain the oil. Many Thanks

    hey no problem Paul;

    for Tar, i like 2 products. stoner's tarminator, or car pro Tar x. terminator might be found locally at a walmart, but the Tarx will likely have to come from an online store. top three in the USA are carpro-us, autoality, and auto geek.

    Thank you so much for the welcome, and for sharing that link!
    I was literally getting on just now to post questions about the 'washing/waxing' subject, and got your message here. It saved me time I didn't know could be saved, as I'm still getting used to the layout of the Z.
    So, thanks again!

    Hey Paul;

    i don't mind at all.

    i love the nanoskin system. i prefer the mitt or the towel over the sponge. also the nano skin lube is good stuff. i would recommend getting that.

    Klasse will probably do what you are looking for here. it is a great paint cleaner, but more of a chemical cleaner than an abrasive, so it isn't going to do much for anything deeper than marring. klasse gives an amazing shine and a good bit of protection, but i would still top the KAIO with something. if you are looking for a good one stepper, HD Uno is good and so is Optimum GPS.
