MY 100K 99 2WD 1500 'clunks' in the rear when turning on city streets, into driveway, etc. Mechanics say it is normal for 100K miles...that it is 'sideplay' in open 3:55 axel. Pushing hard sideways in a rocking sequence makes a similar sound. I have replaced shocks, upper and lower ball joints, and brakes front and rear recently. Any advice would be appreciated. Acutally, I think it makes the noise when driving over a pothole. When I bought the truck the rear differential was way overfull...I don't know if this was an effort to prevent the sound I now notice. I changed the fluid including an additive. Thanks. Jim
