$650 for just labor. Assuming no issues with Timing chains and tensioners, water pump (As they don't like lasting much more than 160K miles for us *knock on wood*), sludge, rods and other various innards that would be effected by dry starts. Also not including the needed coolant to replace the drained coolant. and oil.

I flat out told Silver that if he didn't behave himself I'd have to get rid of him. He coughed at me and then died. (yes, indeed I do talk to my vehicles.)

So assume 700 for JUSt the oil pump, with no hitches. That does not solve the dying IAC, nor does it cover the leaking transmission fluid from the front yolk by the transmission.
    *tugs at hair*
This is making me legitimately insane, I think. Or, rather, more insane than I used to be.
I really would like to meet the person that decided to embed the oil pump in the front of the engine...

School's starting to wrap up for the semester so it's getting busier. Nothing major though, I'm not concerned. I got this.

I'm trying to get a job at Braunability. Need a Job b/c I'm told I need to get a new vehicle. Silver was given a death sentence from my mechanic over a bloomin' oil pump since they're embedded in the front end of the engine rather than in the oil pan.
I can't afford the labor, let alone the (probable) replacement of the three timing chains and tensioner and the issue of the sludge, AND the leak in the front transmission yolk. (I won't even mention major body work that's needed...)

So it's sucked the past couple of days. Today Silver died 10 times before I could even get out of the driveway to go to school (Died a total of 22 times for me, not counting for Mech). &The CEL came on-IAC. That's 100 bucks plus labor unless I do it.
    It's been interesting.

    Long time no see!
    How goes it?
Okay, I've had lots of coffee so I'm slightly deranged.
One question. How hard is it to replace the IAC?
Silver's having some serious health problems.
Hope everything is going well for you!

    Hey Roger!
Thanks for the welcome greeting! Like I sad in my introduction this is my first Ram. It has been years since I have done any mods on any thing. My Ram has ground effects on it and has a set of 22" chrome rims. It had all this when I bought it. The truck is black but I am looking to paint it silver or metallic soon. The rims on it are to flashy plus it has 295/40/22 tires on it. I do not like the low profile look on the truck. So I am looking for some rims to replace them. Probably go with 20" but no smaller than 18". And go with some AT tires. Any suggestions on tire sizes? Also if you could recommend any other mods for the engine or body, like headlights/taillights. Any suggestions will be appreciated> Thanks man!

Not sure if you'll get this or not ... I tried to send a PM the other day and I got an error message saying that I can't send a PM unless I've posted 25 times .... kinda silly IMHO, but rules are rules I guess :-)

The only skill I have might be my videography hobby. I got my first video camera back in 1959 and have been making "home movies" for well over 50 years. I have a You Tube travel channel with 165 HD videos, several hundred subscribers and a couple hundred thousand views. I own 100% of all the content on the channel so that allows me to either monetize the channel for income or ban all advertising completely. I hate advertising in videos so I have chosen the latter

I've posted one photo in the "Photos" section just to familiarize myself with the process here.

I joined specifically because of the amazing service spp offers people in tracking new orders. I'm amazed at his dedication and generosity with his time. He is actually inspiring
