hey Brandon, we were just in sac last sunday at the sac raceway drag racin my truck ...headers is a good next step. i tried to have all my 'bolt on's' in place before i did my cam (180 tstat, efan, etc). Do you also have a programmer? do that before your cam install as well. When you say sound, do you mean like loud? consider doing cutouts as well...one of the funnest mods that i had done.

    chefred112...

Not able to send PMs yet. Saw your mods list and noticed you had cams, amongst many other mods. Also noticed you're from NorCal. I'm from Sac. I'm really wanting to throw a cam in my 08 Ram (5.7). I'm also wanting to do headers. You pretty much have the headers and cam I was looking at getting. I'm more for the sound, than the performance, but I don't mind the extra hp. Was just wondering if you could throw some suggestions and recommendations my way. Right now I have dual exhaust and AiRaid CAI. Would you recommend getting the headers done first, the cam, or does it matter? Is it necessary that I have the heads worked on when installing the cam? Just kinda stuck on which direction I should move right now. Any advice would be appreciated.

it bypasses ac compressor and power steering pump, otherwise it takes the exact same route the existing belt takes

the 03's are tough cookies when it comes to tuning...but 2 choices that are good are the comp 260 and the fri sidewinder..we did the sidewinder on a 4x4 not too long ago and he likes it alot..

I was wondering if you could give me some advice on a cam install. I have an 03 Ram QC HEMI. The truck is lifted 6" and sits on 35's. The truck has a few minor mods, nothing serious. I was wondering what your opinion is on the best cam.
