    Hey there Uncle Rog.
There any chance you know the part numbers for the fog light assembly parts? Been finding way too many with different part numbers...
I'm sure you understand what I mean when I say I'd be bummed if I ordered the wrong thing and couldn't use it.
Still not sure if I'm going through with getting fogs, but I sure would love to have them with new headlights.

Silver's A/C got fixed Saturday; the root of the problem was not discovered, though everything passed it's 'inspection'. Will be scheduling an alignment tomorrow, and then maybe placing an order for head and fog lights, possibly tails as well if I can find some at a decent price. All depends!

Ah well. How have you and Bruno been lately?
    T/C Roger!

Thanks for the info-- and the picture-- Uncle Rog!

I'll definitely be looking at doing a catch can for Silver.

The Lucas...well, I guess it's not gonna hurt anything. Just like the seafoam...
Though the mechanic is slightly afraid of that stuff. He claims he's seen it clean out an old transmission 'so well' it 'didn't make it 10 miles down the road before the thing died', needed replacing... oh, it also killed an engine when a client asked him to put it in the crank case...
Oh, and synthetic oil, according to him, would probably make my sludge issues worse.
I don't know, sometimes it's better to just tell him to do what you want done, and then tell him to quit gabbing (mind you, we're sort of friends with him, I went to school with his kids, etc...)

And who said I was scaring the boys?!
Okay... okay fine, I always scare the boys, I think. Not intentionally though. Well. Not always intentionally.
    Fine, fine, I'll try.

    T/C Rog!

Got to start dipping the white ram!

Thanks for getting back to me on the catch can. I think it was Hydrex that suggested the can and a PCV valve replacement... I'm definitely thinking of doing that, especially since we haven't been able to solve the sludge. Started using 1/2 a can of seafoam before oil change, but so far, no difference I can see. Silver runs like a champ -knock on wood- unlike how he was doing shortly after I got him. I'm gonna go out and check on his coolant levels (still can't find that blasted leak!) while I'm there I'll check everything else.

Hey--another thing. My mechanic thinks that we should try a qt of lucas... in the oil. Thinkin he called it oil stabilizer. He said it's 'comes out like molasses&is a miracle in a bottle.' Claims that it improves his clients MPG's/performance/sound. You know anything about this stuff? :/

Think I can con you into getting a pic of your catch can set up?
Thanks a ton, Uncle Rog! (:

    Hey there Uncle Rog.

Poking around the forum, I saw that on your mod list, you have a catch can listed. I've heard say that the install on our gen of 4.7L is a real pain. Just wondering what the install involved, etc.

And I've been reading so, so much about the things... I'm not sure which way is up (There again, it's also almost 3 am... whoops) Was there a specific reason that you put it in? How long have you had it?
Sorry about the bajillion questions! Parts dept ordered the wrong part, so I'm stuck waiting till Monday when he can call Chrysler personally to get the real part number. Till then no air, no fan, just open windows.

T/c, hope everything is going good on your end!

I disconnected the battery and turned key and it's still blinking. I forgot to tell you I had to replace abs controller and electrically connection because it melted. Would it matter if the abs controller came from a truck that had a 5.7l going to a 4.7l.

I am king of weird, Uncle Rog. I have a toolbox behind the passenger seat, a tow cable (mostly used this winter), about 45 feet of rope, hm... a jug of coolant, about three bottles of water, a jug of oil.... a roll of paper towel, some window cleaner... OH! and a jug of windshield washer fluid I just picked up. In the drivers side door pockets, there is a spare oil cap, a hatchet, a pocket knife, a small hand broom and dust pan... I AM PREPARED.
The hatchet came in handy after the storm we just had... and I'd bet it would get rid of any tailgaters. *shifts eyes* WHO SAID THAT?!

Ah well. I thought it would pop again, but yeah, mechanic and friend put it back together and couldn't pull it apart. I don't think it has popped apart again yet, but I've been sent to go get a new safety clip from the parts dept. (I'm beginning to make friends there.... ) Meanwhile, windows down, radio up. One of the few times I curse having crank windows..
    Thanks, Rog. T/C!

Here's what happened.. This is what I'm talking about. Not the best pic, I do have a couple others, but yeah.
MEchanic just popped them back together... then had one of his 'muscle' guys try and pull it apart to see if it wasn't fitting right or something, and the guy couldn't get it loose. So there's that. Just now... why the heck did it do it in the first place. My blower motor (yes, my tech speak is amazing, I know) was already going bad when I got Silver, now this too.

And yeah, I know there's a difference between cooling and a/c, I definitely just forgot that there's a system cooling me--a/c-- and Silver.

I'm all for Truck 101. I know just enough to be slightly dangerous, but not enough to fix too much crap, which does genuinely annoy me. Ah well. Gotta start somewhere!

Meanwhile, I'll try not to go nuts.

    Thanks Uncle Rog!

Sounds like a full plate! Good luck!

I'm off to the Dodge dealership's part dealership tomorrow for a safety clip for the cooling system that I can't pick up anywhere else locally and some Freon. One of the hoses from the A/C compressor (I think, the cooling system and I don't know each other very well) blew apart while I was driving, the Freon blew out, made a hellacious noise. Took it to my mechanic and he flipped out wondering 'how the hell' it blew apart, as it 'shouldn't have enough pressure to do so'.
All I know is that it did. Hopefully we'll get this figured out... meanwhile, any ideas? (I have pics of the hose in question, may start a thread or something.) This has given me a two-day headache.

As for the play date, Silver likes that idea as well.
