    Hi,
Thanks for the great welcome, I am a lot confused with how navigate the site. I did manage to do a bio, but am clueless about how to ask for help or receiving answers; not for lack of trying.
This seems like a great site, had 3 or 4 welcomes.

Thank you Roger, I am thinking that the tire pressure sensors in my 13 ram may be the culprit in tire cupping. I had an alignment at 6700 miles and the alignment was fine. In my opinion there is too much counter weight to balance out the sensors. All four wheels were out of balance however. I rarely get up to highway speed, so it's hard to tell when the wheels are out of balance. Does anyone think I may be on to something ? Mac

I need to get my truck back on the road. I was turning into a parking spot in a parking lot ,had 4x4 on .Something went and sounding like some blew apart, so took 4x4 off and checked 2 wheel drive worked ok. Drove home then to work and when I went to leave work it sounded as bad when it broke, stopped and parked it , until could get towed home. When we were towing it in neutral it made the same noise . So I figured in neutral ,transmission disengaged , out of 4 wheel drive transfer case disengaged . So the only thing left would be front differential which would still move in neutral, the sound when it went came from the front end . So I'm trying to take out right front axle and noticed the splines on the short shafted are pretty much smooth , so when I get axle out I'm going to turn the short shaft and see what I can hear. I'm thinking I'll have to replace or rebuilt the front diff. So can I have your opinion on what happened or need to be done.

This is my first time posting, I've been looking on these forums for a while now, and it doesn't seem like anyone has the exact problem that I have, I have a 01 5.9 with 165000 miles, it just started acting up a few days ago, I was driving in rain, and in the middle of my 2 hour long trip, my two wheel drive truck flashed the 4xwheel drive light, and then started running different, then the 4xwheel light came on and stayed on, the truck still ran the same, after arriving at my destination, I turned the tuck off, i went to leave not 10 min later and the truck started fine, but as soon as I would put it into reverse or drive it died, the only way I could get it to not die was to smash the pedal to the floor and slam it into gear, but once it is moving it runs and drives fine, and as long as you don't shut off the motor it changes gears fine. it only seems to die after the motor and trany has warmed up, does anyone have any idea on what my problem is?
