Thanks Cajun. Ive been reading this thread. Interesting stuff. Im tempted to get a cheaper unit, and then put a good filter on in. Heat shield...looks like minimal gains. Im hoping to maybe pull another 1mpg or so.

Thanks I need help my left taillight works all the lights work except the blinker. It flashes fast telling me something is wrong on the dash. They told me it is the electronic flasher but I can not find it and it is not in the side panel. Does it even have an electronic flasher? All the fuses look good. Please help what could it be. 2wd 2002 dodge Ram 1500

This is a tough one. Did your friend go through insurance? If so, I would call the insurance company and they should be able to get the issue fixed as part of the original repair. If your friend paid for the repair themselves, this could be a tough one. Disconnecting the battery does not really work nowadays. I would suspect a broken wire somewhere being the truck has been in an accident. \either that or the module has an internal failure. Either way, I think it is going to need to go to a qualified tech, whether it be at a dealership or an independent. I would call around and see what your dealer says and what an independent says. It is too bad that you are not near me. I would have my "Master" electrical tech look at it and I am sure that he would find the problem pretty quickly. Good luck with this and please let me know how it turns out.
