    Silverbighorn,

Sure hope it works out OK for you. I too like my Ram but after dealing with my minor paint problem I don't think that I'll buy another. I thought that I had removed all of the dust nibs the first time around. Yesterday I found 28 more on the sides of the truck. They are all small and will level easily. I'll get at leveling them next week. It will probably take me about six hours to level the nibs and then polish out the wetsand marks. I don't want to go through this again. Shouldn't have to. But like I said my problem is minor compared to yours. Hang in there.

Just posted on the thread. Didn't notice the message notification.

On a repaint dust nibs can be wet sanded. That is a very common thing for shops to do. Some shops even have special equipment to do it. If you remember I wet sanded over forty dust/dirt nibs out of my factory paint.

The tailgate can be sanded and repainted. Make sure that the plastic on the tailgate is removed and well as the emblems if they are still on. Masking simply doesn't work all that well.

The overspray can be easily taken off the wheels with "clay". The shop should have done that before delivery

Now about repaints. More than two and you will have major problems with the pant being too think. Been there, done that.

What would I do? I'd get the work redone at the shop. Drive the truck for a while and at the first sign of paint problems reoccurring, trade. I should add that I can afford to do this without too much sweat.

    Hang in there.

    Tom
