I'm not sure, but it sounds like, your thermostat is not opening, that is why it is hooter than the bottom, hope that helps you............................................. JRJ

Hi folks Ive got Ram v10 8ltr 1998 slt and Ive just had it converted to LPG, the problem is she wont go to gas till she's really warm (over 10 miles), the chap who did the conversion says the problemb is with the radiator, he says the top hose is too hot and the bottom hose is only luke warm (he says they should be almost the same) The sensor is near the top of the engine on one of the smaller hoses but is not hot enough to tell the sensor to go to gas, The temp guage inside the truck is showing at about a quarter IE (between zero and halfway) and the heater is toasty warm, the outside temp here in the UK is around 4 degrees C (40F) What I would like to know is this, is the problem with the cooling system or with the LPG sensor.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Regards Mike.
