OK people, I wanted to start a thread about my build. Its a 2012 Ram 1500 Big Horn, black exterior (which I love and hate at the same time ). Anyways I have debaged it, added the vent shade things, Ive order interior LED lights from superbrightleds.com which should be in soon. Also I am attempting to lightly smoke the tail lights. I have an old pair of LED tails off my GMC I am trying that out with. Actually I have heads, tails, and fogs that I am testing it with LOL. I am using the VHT Night Shades, but they seems to be a little on the blueish side unless you use it heavily. Help would be greatly appreciated with that. Ill attach a pic of the tails and heads that Ive smoked. I will be adding a brush guard (or front end replacement, dont know yet), headache rack, and HID's. Thanks for looking!!
Brand new from dealer
Debadged
These are pics of trying to perfect the smoked lights process on my old gmc aftermarket heads, tails, and fogs....Any help would be great as to why they kinda look blue (hard to see in these pics)
You have the factory muffler right? Can't remember. But just unbolt it and take it all out. That's how I have mine right now until I get a cutout ordered
Garner you are fn genius, I had no ideal it was bolted on, I just assumed it was welded
Ive been all under that truck and had no clue it was bolted on lol
Took the muffler off and it sounds freaking awesome
Im gonna try to upload a sound clip, my wifi isnt connecting to my phone or I would upload a video
I loved running around with straight pipes on my 2G RAM. Sounded absolutely amazing. Can only imagine a HEMI sounds so much better though. Will be looking forward to a video of some sort most definitely.
I was told here in PA the the e-cutouts are illegal so there goes that plan for mine since it won't pass inspection with them on. Believe me though I had a whole exhaust setup for them. Maybe I will add them in eventually, but for now I will have to stick with a basic true dual setup when I get my headers put on. Though Matt might be able to run the cutouts on his in his area, just have to check local and state laws.
Yea I am gunna end up selling my A-T Flowmaster setup single in dual out once I get my duals put on. That or get another single into dual Super 40 and run 2 pipes out each side.. Hey wait.. That might be kinda bad ass...
Not sure about that part. In the emissions testing areas of PA then I am more than positive they wouldn't float well. Luckily where I am at there is no emissions testing so I could run high-flow cats.
Oh no, if you get emissions tested you'd fail lol Trying to think of a way to run an e-cutout. You could hide one in a fake muffler, but then they'd wonder why you have 3 exhaust pipes lol
Yup, so I am basically screwed for the cutouts, but I can run the high flows here in Tioga County no problem. I think that would be a unique sound with headers, high flow cats and then a single into duals exhaust on each side.. Would look pretty sweet with 4 pipes hanging out the back of Ace lmao
Well heres a video of the exhaust (or lack there of lol)
In the video is sounds like crap so just remove the raspiness from it and its good
Its VERY deep
Thanks bud, oh its nice and loud in the cab and I like it kinda...although yesterday I was on the phone and it started to irritate me that I couldn't hear what the other person was saying. So I just told I had to go so I could listen to my exhaust LOL. Once I get the super 10 on there is should quiet down a bit, but hopefully not too much. Otherwise its coming off and back to straight pipe. I have a decline in MPG by 1.3. Maybe its just me since I'm stomping and revving it up more
Drone isn't bad except for a little rpm range when accelerating but if you ease out of the throttle or increase the throttle then it goes away. At least on mine. His might be a little different
