Upper Glove box?

Gents,

is it possible to install the upper glove box in my 2012 express? what i have right now is essentially just a big whole. My buddies 2011 Ram has a flip up door and inside an IPOD radio adapter. Do i have that ability? What is the correct name for what i am looking for? Part numbers? Place to order? My local dealership sucks and were not helpful at all. they told me it could not be completed without changing out the entire dash. i do not believe what they said, it just does not sound right to me.

From what I have been able to figure out on my 2011, it takes one screw and 5 minutes to put in the glove box. The hard part is finding one. So far I can't find a part number so that leaves junkyards as a source. The tray that is there now clips in and has one screw in the bottom. To take it out, open your lower glove box and remove it by pressing in on the sides so it drops down lower and comes right out. Looking up through the hole there is one screw near the center of the the top tray that needs to come out. After taking the screw out the tray pops right out. If you can find a complete upper box the install snhould be the reverse of the steps I just outlined.

Goto the last post on page 5 and it gives you a detailed parts breakdown.
Hope this helps!

Yes, I did it to my truck.

The junk yards do not usually list upper glove box but I asked about it when I bought a steering wheel and they had it.

It was very easy to install.
