tow hooks, or tough bar....
so. first mod for my new truck. narrowed it to either tow hooks... (i have a 2012 the sport edition that doesnt come with hooks) or tough bar.

now i want these for actual use, to protect the fragile seeming fascia from the urban jungle, and stray trees hahah and to help stuck people

lookin at the tough bars, the mount decently to the frame, but are they that tough? lol no pun intended.... brackets dont seem huge. just figured id see what everyone said

(not loking to spend a ton of money too.. haha)

Never push, always pull. Hooks all the way!!

U want the bar weaker than the frame. Why? U want the bar to bend/break before the frame does when hitting something. Get a bar with tow hooks, better yet get a bumper with everything!

:iagree: I installed the hooks (OEM) and it's one of the better mods I did. :)

I'm gonna have to agree, go with the hooks!

definitely go with the hooks. jus got mine in the mail today goin on this weekend... also if u wanna spend another 220 bucks go with the bilstein 5100's to help get that front bumper a lil farther off the ground. might help jump some curbs in that urban jungle. jus put mine on this week and the truck looks GREAT

I say hooks, especially if you want something functional.

And if you are looking, I have a pair of tow hooks off my 2011 Big Horn. They were on the truck for less than a month and never used. Don't need them and won't use them, so I am selling. $75 plus shipping, everything included - brackets, nuts and bolts.

Let me know if you are interested.
