Driver's Seat Alignment

My 2008 RAM 1500 driver's seat is offset to the right about 2 inches. This means that if my body is centered in the seat, the steering wheel and the pedals are about 2 inches to my left instead of being right in front of me. There is a gap between the passenger seat and the center seat. There is no gap between the driverís seat and the center seat. I find myself sitting way over to the left to compensate, which gets old when driving hundreds of miles. Iíve seen a lot of posts on the driverís seat foam cushion wearing out. This may be one reason why.

Has anyone ever seen this before? Is there any way to move the seat closer to the door so everything lines up correctly?

This may only be a 2008 thing. At first I thought the steering wheel was shifted to the left, then I noticed the difference in the gap between the passenger and driver's seats. There is a gap between the steering column and the right hand side of the dash that looks a little wide. As I look closer I notice the steering column is tight up against the left hand side of the dash. The more I looked, the more I noticed that the steering wheel is shifted to the left a good inch from center as I'm sitting looking at it. So between the seat and the steering wheel, there I sit. I feel like Mr. Monk on the TV show. This is going to drive me nuts unless I get it fixed.

Does anyone know of this issue?

Can anyone recommend a service manual that does a good job of illustrating seat removal/ adjustments etc? Sitting to the right and steering from the left, I feel like I'm driving a mailman truck.

Id like to know too. I have an 07 that I feel like im falling off to the left while driving. Whoever designed this obviously didn't take a ride in it. Mines an slt big horn tho not sure if the laramies have the same problem with the leather seats

I knew that I was not alone in the world. I either have to fix this our get rid of my Ram.
I could pull the seat up, move it to the left and drill new mounting bolt holes or weld the doggone thing down. I remember 25 years ago when I was a pup, I had a 1976 Mustang II that was the same way. It is awkward feeling to drive, like a one legged man on a unicycle.

Anyone have a 2008 ST that can relate to this issue?
