Just weld tabs to the frame, and drop shackles in when you need them.

If you could find a set of dodge brackets at a junkyard, your chevy hooks would bolt right up to them, or at least adapt easier.

not to hijack but did you mig or arc the tabs?

dezertrunner 03-02-2012 10:16 AM

MIG. I don't touch arc welders. lol

I used a set of tow hooks (full loop style) from a ford of a similar year, which already has all the needed drop built in, so there's no need for a spacer. Not a great up close picture, but you get the idea...

I know it's been a long time, but what year exactly did you get the Ford hooks from? And Did they bolt right up or did you have to mod it?
I'm trying to find the easier way to put tow hooks on
