LED Tailgate Light Bar

Is anyone who has one of these having any issues with moisture getting into the light bar?
I've had one for les than 2 months and it's already got a lot of moisture on the left side, so I'm sure the LEDs won't last long unless there's a way to get the moisture out....Can I cut or drill a hole in the bar to let the mositure out? I'd appreciate some suggestions.:smiley_thumbs_up:

i doubt you can cut of drill to let the moisture out, that will allow more watter and road crap to get in... is it a name brand? most offer decent warranties... I have LED reverse bulbs in my truck and moisture has got into the one light housing, made that one bulb alot dimmer and changed the colour of it drastically compared to the other bulb...

It is a name brand light bar with the reverse light in it...and I'm not sure how long it's covered under warranty....but most I've seen online are only 30 days....I'll be stopping by the truck outfitter shop where I got it today...but I'll be surprised if they replace it. I was hoping there might be an easy fix.

rampage has a 1 year, I think recons is fairly short though, not sure about other companies, if they dont warranty it you could always try drying it out real well in the house or somewhere, and pack that hole with some clear silicone, see how that works....

It was a gift and I had thrown the box away so I didn't remember the brand but I got lucky...it was a Rampage and the shop replaced it with no questions... they said they get one every month or two that has gotten moisture in it...
I painted the ends on the new one with liquid tape before putting it on the truck this time....maybe it won't leak

Thanks for the replies :smiley_thumbs_up:
