Parking Assist issue
My console button is not on, and in my evic I have it set to sound only.

Everytime I put it in reverse, my display tells me that parking assist is off. I try and turn the button on, with no success.

Anyone else have any ideas? Just washed the truck last week and there isnt much dirt on it, compaired to the rest of the winter season when its worked all the time.

Ideas and thoughts appreciated

I had that happen to me over this winter. It occurred after i got a car wash and although the bumper sensors were clean and nothing on the face of them they were buzzing all the time in reverse and then my evic would say parking assist off. It went away after I parked it in my warm shop for a couple hours. There must have been some moisture around it that froze and was messing it up. Haven't had an issue since. I recommend letting it warm up and dry off in a heated garage or shop if you have access to one. See if that fixes it.

Ill give that a try. If not, the dealership is 2 blocks from work. They can have it and figure it out

THanks for the reply

everytime I wash mine the screen goes haywire for a day or so. Water or moisture is somehow getting into the camera. Gonna wait and see if it happens once the weather warms up then I'll have it fixed if it still does.

Ive had my Back up camera replaced under warranty once alreday, it got water in there and went for a crap.

I cleaned the sensors one more time and its still an issue. So may be dealer bound as the temp here yesterday got up to plus 6! so getting out of the freezing zone!

Mine has to be really iced up for it to deactivate, they are typically cover in road salt and grime with little issue. Maybe one of them is loose and is picking up your bumper or something of that nature. Let us know how it goes.

Mine would do that when it had a small layer of ice on it
