drivers seat tear

i have a 2010 1500 sport with 25000 miles leather seats. The drivers seat cushion cover has started to tear, looks like it started at 1 of the seams and then has progressed along a crease in the leather. I understand there was a K10 recall on 09's for this issue but mine is a 10' i took it into my dealership today and the guy there said he doubts it will be covered under warranty and it will be down to the service managers discretion. Anyone know if there was any recall for this problem on 2010 models or if this should be carried out under warranty?

if they do not want to cover it try a company like color glow or fibernew they repair leather and do great work. I hard a f250 harley truck that had a rip that was about 2 inches long they came to my house and fixed for a $150 and I could not tell it was even there before

That's good to hear about your dealer. My driver's seat is not looking so hot after 1 year and 12k miles.

Even added side steps to help entry and exit. Not much better.

Tan leather is also becoming the color of my blue jeans.
