Towing clip on mirrors?

I have a 2012 sport. I will be towing my travel trailer and need a good mirror set up. I know I can get the fold out mirrors. I want to keep the sport ones as there color matched to the truck. Does any one know of some good clip on's that won't scratch my mirrors?

Simple answer is no. Maybe someone else had luck but I tried three different styles on my old van and none of them were worth the cost. I found they vibrate a great deal even if tightened properly, which makes using them difficult. If your going to tow a lot get the tow mirrors and then have them color matched.

I looked with out finding any. Let me know if you do.

I have never seen any that were worth a crap.

I figured this would be the case.

I'm in the same Boat as you my friend. I have just got a Travel Trailer & trying to get a good price on the Chrome OEM Towing Mirror's. Let us know how you go on...

Bummer to see these replies.... I have a 2011 and just upgraded to a 33ft Open Range new Trailer, Towed it home yesterday.

Short term the stock sport mirrors will have to do for the next month or so, but long term I need to do something becasue you cant see behind your rig at all. The stock mirrors do OK with seeing the next lane on either side, but distance of those other vehicles is hard to guage and bottom line.... I dont want to run someone off the road becasue I'M the moron that doesnt have proper mirrors.

I grew up with my grandfather putting on portable tow mirrors on the 1973 455 Buick Electra we used (he replaced that in 1985 with a 454 Suburban). I dont remember any issues with those portable mirrors, they seemed to work fine and we used them for many years. They were mounted on the front fender and clips went inside the hood and the bottom was connected to the inside of the front wheel well.

If anyone finds some portable ones, send the link please.

Thx

I've even had the clip on's fly off while on the road. They suck.

I've only tried 2 different universal clip-on's. When I had my Tacoma I wanted something that looked decent. So I bought these. http://www.amazon.com/CIPA-11960-Pre...4584293&sr=8-3
Short easy review "They SUCK!" Little longer review. They go on easy and don't vibrate much. But that's where the good ends. They are hard to adjust and don't stay there for long if you can get them adjusted . One of the mirrors fell out of the housing and broke when I was trying to adjust it once. They are away to small to be of any use.
Then I tried these http://www.amazon.com/Fit-System-389...4584293&sr=8-1
They don't look as nice but they go on easy and are much easier to adjust. They also have a much bigger mirror which results in a better viewing area.
Now that I have my Ram (also a sport) I still need to use an extended mirror but haven't put them on this truck yet. I've towed the camper twice with it and I really should put them on but hate to deal with any clip-on. And I don't like the looks of the stock tow mirrors. If I towed the camper enough I would go with them but I don't so I'll deal with the clip-on's.
Bottom line I'm not sure there is such a thing as a good clip-on mirror. But some might be better than others. Good luck finding one that will work for you.

I bought my Ram Monday and had to tow my camper that same day. I bought these at O'Reilly. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...towing+mirrors They were a pain in the ass to put on, but should be easier next time now that I have them figured out. They were stable going down the highway and have a large mirror. They also had some that were only $17 each. The mirror looked the same, just a different mount.
