Where is the QAULITY anymore?
:mad3:Hey people, just took my '08 2500 diesel in for work. The link to the steering box was shot, not the tie rod but the other component,so much slack she was wondering on the highway.Mechanic checked everything said she needs a new steering box also! WOW is what I said, noticed this wandering around 40,kms now she has 50.kms.thats it! Do the front ends on these trucks only last like 1/8 the trucks life expectancy? I have been checking into the steering stabilizer from DARRENS(Weyburn Sask.) also a few sites in the states ,want to know if any of you installed one and how good it works and if it's worth it?They lay claim that it will tighten up the front end play and save the steering box from wear.Any inputs would be appreciated, also I cannot figure the replacement part they installed is non greasable,go figure!Thank C****T i bought extended warr. on this unit!!! Let me know if you guys know anything.....

Called CHEAP parts from offshore..............the worse the road the more these dodges have noise in the front ends.

Really sad..........

I agree proDodge.I don't even do a lot of off road and my right side tie rod was replaced at 17000km on my 08 ram. The other one at 37000km. This has been an ongoing problem for years with Dodge. The replacement parts seem to last a lot longer, so why not just put in the good parts on the line?

My brother's big horn 4x4 1500 (think it's like an 07) has constant issues with wheel bearings. He's had like 4 sets in less than a hundred thousand miles on the front. He has warranty but he's worried because it's about to expire. Anyone know anything about this? Maybe it's related? I'm sure the warranty company is putting the cheapest bearings in possible...
