Staight Goods on dealer applied paint coatings
Can anybody shed some light on this topic. Dealers hype products like diamond coat etc...but I have heard lots of different opinions from "the experts".
Does anybody have the dope on what it actually does that the usual wax doesn't
Thanks in advanice.

makes allot of money for the dealer. didn't know dealers were still still trying to push these products. my thoughts, overpriced waste of money. i would not deal with a dealer that tried tried to sell these products.

If i were to start really taking care of my vehicles, i would be inclined to read the tips & tricks for taking care of the interior & exterior that these guys use & write about

Buy a bottle of Zaino, put it on yourself and save some money. The stuff they sell is probably good but not worth the cost

Its not worth the money they charge,my oldest brother is a perfectionest at painting and can pretty much do anything a ride needs-he now owns a harley shop-plus does only a few show cars for very few that will only let him touch them-every day product he uses and says they are just as good if not better then any out there are Mothers products and Meguiars Products all he uses on cars-trucks and bikes. And ofcource special body shop products when he wants show room finish.

Not worth it it's basically just a sealant. You can do better yourself or if you don't want to head to a good local detailing place. It will be better and cheaper.

+1 on Not only do they sell numerous products they explain their use, what to expect and how to apply and what your expected results will be. They also do comparisons between products. My favorite is Wolfgang 3.0 sealant(a sealant last 6 months +) and then top it with Collinite 845(a wax). Sealants will last about 6 months where as most all waxes only last about 60 days. No matter what product you chose, please read the information on autogeek. You will be a lot more informed about your decision. Just my .02.

Im with Pull a recent convert from Meguirs to the wolfgang product line. truly amazing results with very little effort and not much more cost than over the counter box store polishes. autogeek was a great resource for me aswell.

When I bought my truck, they tried to Automatically add on $900 for their interior/exterior protection package. When I brought it up, they tried the scare tactic on me about how things could happen and how expensive the leather is, blah blah. I had them remove it but thought that was kinda shady to try slipping it into the deal
