Nitto Terra Grappler 275/65/20
Finally got me some new tires. I had some tread left on the stock goodyears, but the wet traction was downright dangerous. Hopefully I have fixed that problem. While I was at it, I went one size taller and had a 2" level installed. The 2" level worked out pretty good, the bottoms of the bumpers (metal part) are perfectly level (22") and the rocker panel looks level. The front fender well lip sits about an inch higher than the rear. These tires are advertised as 34" tall, but mounted up you see about 33" of that in height. I'm thinking they would have fit without the level, but it looks better with it. Here's what they look like.

Do it! I got a chance to test the wet traction and they did wonderful. Also, I already knew there was no wobble in 2wd, but I checked the 4wd, and no wobble there either. I was out with the SC Tuner trying to get my speedo dialed in and ran a 0-60 after I had it set. I came in about half a second slower than my best time, could have been the wet roads but I didn't notice any wheel spin or just might have been the way I hit it. Either way they haven't slowed me down terribly.

Nice truck and the tires and level look great! Yes, 275/65 will definitely fit without the level but the level stance makes it look even better. I still say Dodge should have but 275/65 on the stock 20" wheels.

Look great! Any rubbing issues at full lock??

bigpercentcountry 04-02-2012 06:11 PM

Thanks everyone, and no rubbing issues at full lock. I really don't think it would have rubbed at full lock without the level, so with it there is a lot of room under there now. Any wider would have probably rubbed on the a arm though. I didn't check it with factory tires, but I can just squeeze my finger in there now. I know they spec out at the same width, but these seem a little wider.

How much did you pay for a set of 4? I am looking in to buying some before I ship my car over, but they are expensive (I know you can't put a price tag on safety)

They were something like $284 a piece, that's mounted and balanced at my local shop.
