Lowered front... cut off the bump stop bracket?

Hey guys,

I have a '97 1500 4X2 and I lowered the front end 2" with shorter coils. I plan on doing a real 4" lowering ASAP... I'm curious if you should cut off the portion of the frame that held the factory bump stop. Seems it would be in the way when I drop it another two inches.

Your ideas?

Here we go... at ride height with 1 1/2 coils cut. Surprisingly, even without front shocks on the truck (will be in this week) and the sway bar disconnected, it rides really well.

Now for new paint, bumper, headlights, roll pan and some graphics...
