'12 1500 with Hellwig sway bars & leveling springs...

Greetings All,
This past week I added front and rear sway bars from Hellwig + 2" lowering springs to replace the stock rear springs. The sway bar setup made a noticeable difference and today, with the addition of the rear lowering springs... wow!

By no means is my truck "slammed", but the tighter feel and lowered rear really makes a nice difference. Plus, it looks SOOO much better IMO.

Word to the 2012 owners: if you go this route, look under your rear axle area. If you don't have the drop shackles, you'll need them from Hellwig in addition to the rear sway bar. The front sway bar is a slam-bang installation that only took the technician about 20 minutes to do! (same timeframe for the rear... ONCE they realized I need the drop shackles!).

Good stuff that Hellwig! I give them an A+

Daryl

:worthless:

Glad you liked the tighter feel and lowered stance  The lack of body roll compared to stock (it's not quite a Vette lol) in corners takes some getting used to

Part numbers and photos would be great...

What are "drop shackles"? Are the 2" lowering springs from Hellwig? Do you need an adjustable Panhard rod?

Bump for pics and part numbers.

I was wondering what "drop shackles" are too.
