A few add ons tomorrow

Getting a remote start and keyless entry put in first thing in the morning, I can't believe how spoiled I was, I already locked my keys in the truck twice! fortunately it was in front of the house

When I pick her up I will install the air lift 1000 kit....

Let us know how you make out......

Sounds like some nice upgrades!!!

does the airlift improve our already cushy ride?

what a successful day it was!
dropped the truck off at the audio place, they put in an audiovox/prestige remote start and keyless entry system, I didn't want an alarm total cost 300, the truck had power door locks and windows but no key fob for keyless entry so the extra module was 75.00 otherwise it only would have been 200+ tax....this model is a pretty basic one which is all I wanted. They had it installed in under an hour and a half ...even better!

Next up

Airlift 1000, to answer huntergreen no this is not an upgrade for ride quality unless you are towing or hauling. I am going to be putting my HD ultra which is 880lbs dry so probably about 900 wet in the back so I wanted something to keep the truck from squatting, I live in long island NY and have to travel either through brooklyn or manhattan to get anywhere and the roads are just plain horrible...on to the install

Jack the truck up, put some jackstands under the frame.....after reading all the horror stories of getting the hose on the barbs I decided to put the hose and the little top donut on the bags before I installed them, so for the first bag I didn't cut the hose but installed it and forced the air out and put the little cap they give you on the end of the long hose and it worked out fine! I worked the bag in with an old motorcycle tire iron and it pretty much went right in......cut the hose to the proper length and then did the other side.....I saw where someone here used the holes in the trailer hitch for the shrader valve and I liked that idea so that is where I ran the final hose to....

All in all under 2 hours taking my time and no special tools it was a pretty easy job.....

The truck is aired up to 34lbs and I drove around my development and man those speed bumbs are not as cushy as they were this morning!!!!

Tomorrow I will check the pressure to make sure it held and bring it back down to 5lbs as recommended if all goes well....

2 jobs done, and no dogs were kicked and not even 1 curse....a good day indeed.....

Congrats on the install. I hope it helps with lugging around the Harley. transporting my Dyna Fatbob from orange county to Utah every now and than was a main reason for getting a full size truck.

my reasons also, my dyna low rider fit just fine in my s10, but I wouldn't think of putting the ultra in it! I got a great deal on a rampage lift so with that and the big truck traveling with the bikes should be a pleasure

I've made the drive twice with my Dyna in the bed of the truck and it's been great. I actually didn't even notice much of a drop in gas mileage. The truck doesn't even notive the wait. I have the 6'4" bed, so I had to have the tailgate down. 3 inches shorter and i could have closed the tailgate, but it worked really well.
