Hey all-just looking for ideas, cant seem to get my mpg above 9.5. Truck runs great, this is what i have done so far, new cai, 8.5 super conductor msd wires, NGK 5306 plugs, all 8 new coil packs, took off and cleaned TB, All amsoil in engine, trans, both diffs, transfer case and power steering, new magnaflo 22 inch duals out,TMR mod, new 285-17 tires, fuel injector cleaner. Run mid grade 89 oct.

truck runs great with no probs with drive train, no misses, no majore noises to worry about, 130k on it.So far since all the tune up and add ons only gained maybe .5 on the mpg.

2003/2500 4x4.

Any ideas welcome and thanx ahead of time. Everything i have done i did because i wanted too, was just hopeing to improve mpg along the way too.

If you do a lot of city driving, which I hope is the case at 9.5 mpg, an e fan is your best bet. The clutch fan robs probably 15-20 hp by spinning via the motor and the flex a lite 183 is a direct bolt on with brackets for the overflow and windshield washer resivoir. It flows 3000 cfm of air keeping the engine much cooler. You should be able to pick up a couple mpg with it city driving. Amazon has them on sale for like $275. I got mine within 4 days of ordering and it took about 2 hours to install.

Yes, the 9.5 is city driveing, highway since the mods i have done is about 12.5-13.
i know its a big boy and not bitching at all, just looking for ideas. I buy trucks for what they are and what there built to do not MPG-lol. I think its funny when i see peeps who buy 4x4,s and later complain and complain about MPG. Thanx for that idea it is one i was thinking of doing.

Thats bad, If there is no sign of running poorly, than i would get it scanned to look for codes first. And take it from there. As far as ideas much more info is needed for anyone to help much.
