Ram bed and dash
2 Attachment(s)
I have a couple of beauty issues with my truck, first of which is killing me. The bed has some hole through rust due to living in north dakota minnesota area. Area was salted often. Despite my best efforts to keep it rust free, it is showing some hole through on both rear fenders directly atop the well. This is a closed in area from inner to outer fender. I was informed that best deal would be to find another bed and have it resprayed the same color as the truck. Does anyone know where I can find another bed? Anywhere within a few hundred miles is good for me. I just dont want to spend 2000 to get a bed and 600 to paint match. Too much for a truck of its year.
Also the dash is cracking (I'm sure many of you are running into this issue) next to the center defroster vent. Not sure where to find or how to replace this either. HELP!?!?!?

Can't speak to the bed, but as far as the dash is concerned, I am ordering one from LMC. Not the cover, but the replacement dash pad. Not sure if anyone else here has used the replacement from LMC. Hopefully they will be able to weigh in on the subject. :)

Is your truck a stock color? If so you should be able to find one that already matches. Probably not in your area as we live in the rust belt lol. Your best bet would be to look around Ok. Tx. craigslist and salvage yards. There is a guy here that has a bunch of boxes sitting on a trailer in a lot just off the highway. A buddy of mine bought a Chevy box off him last year for 500, rust free and color matched. It's all that guy does is roam around down south buying rust free boxes and bringing them up here (Ne.) I was gonna track him down for a box for my '96 I could sure pass the number along if I can get it.
